Biomedical and Health Informatics (BMHI)

Biomedical and Health Informatics (BMHI) unit was established in June 2016 at the Shaheed Rajaie Institute to tackle biomedical and health challenges through interdisciplinary approaches, leveraging informatics and computer science. Its core aim is to amalgamate computational expertise and software methodologies to develop solutions aligned with clinical, research, and educational objectives.

BMHI undertook key activities including implementing an acute heart failure severity assessment system and developing systems for Randomized Clinical Trials and online voting for research councils. Moving forward, BMHI plans to launch a telemedicine system for heart failure patients, design a heart valve patient application, and expand activities into cardio-oncology.
