Echocardiography Research Center
The Echocardiography Research Center in Iran was established in **2009** with the aim of providing the latest applied research to offer suitable tools and create an operational framework for research based on efficient human resources in the field of echocardiography at the Shahid Rajaei Cardiovascular Educational, Research, and Treatment Center. The center was founded with the presence of six founding members and received its official approval on **May 18, 2019**.
The founding board members of this research center are as follows:

- Ahmad Bitarafan-Rajabi, MD.
The mission of this center is to conduct valuable fundamental and applied research and utilize the results to enhance the scientific and practical capabilities of cardiovascular educational and treatment centers at both national and international levels. Additionally, it aims to create a database of cardiac diseases in the country, lead scientific research in the field of echocardiography within the country, and carry out valuable scientific research in collaboration with other reputable centers worldwide. In collaboration with the Iranian Echocardiography Association, the Echocardiography Research Center organizes periodic scientific seminars and conferences annually at various centers, including Rajaie Cardiovascular Hospital and Tehran Heart Center. Furthermore, this center has successfully designed software for calculating torsion using tissue Doppler methods in echocardiography for the first time in Iran, which is currently being used for research purposes in this field. The center aims to establish close collaboration with research centers both domestically and internationally to expand and advance the field of echocardiography.
