Research Center Overview
The Shahid Rajaie Cardiovascular Medical and Research Institute, as one of the country's first research centers, began its activities in 1992 under the presidency of Dr. Noohi. This center, operating as an independent research center, was approved at the 52nd meeting of the Council for Development of Medical Sciences on 1992/05/17.
The research activities of this center cover specialized and subspecialized fields including heart failure and transplantation, cardiothoracic surgery, pediatric cardiology, cardiothoracic anesthesia, cardiovascular imaging and nuclear medicine.

Mission and Research Priorities
In light of the growing prevalence of cardiovascular diseases and their risk factors in the country, the Shahid Rajaie Cardiovascular Medical and Research Institute, as one of the country's pioneering research centers, aims to prevent and control cardiovascular diseases at the community level.
The center produces and disseminates scientific information through research in related areas. By conducting fundamental and applied research in cardiovascular diseases and utilizing advanced and efficient technologies, the center expands the boundaries of specialized knowledge to protect and promote community health.
