Nursing

SRCMRC is at the forefront of nursing in the country, endeavoring to meet the needs of a changing cardiac health care and the people who depend on it. The nurses are engaged in a range of activities that support the overall management of the patients and treatment procedures, whether they are at the bedside or in the increasing number of diverse rolls nurses fulfill.

About 1100 nursing staff works in this center with different levels of education and experience and of course responsibility, ranging from the matron and supervisors down to nursing aid personnel.

Their role includes supporting the medical assessment and the evaluation and implementation of the right course of management, outlined by physicians and international protocols.

The nursing staff renders services to 13 operating rooms, 11 cath lab facilities and 583 beds in different wards.

Nursing department is affiliated with the school of nursing of Iran University of Medical Sciences.

The department activities also include designing education and development programs to promote the nursing staff’s knowledge and expertise. In line with the program of evolution of clinical sciences since 2009, this center has been recruiting postgraduate students in the fields of intensive care and circulatory technology, and all  paramedical students of Iran university of Medical Sciences spend part of their training in this center.
